Hourly Student Employment - Foundry Senior Student Associate (open to work-study and non-work-study)

Position Title: Foundry Senior Student Associate

Department: Foundry

Supervisor: Ciara Wilkison

Position begins as early as August 20 and is subject to renewal each semester.

Work Schedule: Flexible, M-F 8-6

Duties: Assist Fine Arts Patrons with checking out equipment, as well as helping support users with equipment in the Foundry Makerspace (3D Printing, laser cutting, and other fabrication equipment), as well as Digital Media equipment and projects. Assist in workshops and classes taught in the Makerspace.

Required Qualifications: UT Austin student enrolled in minimum of 6 credits for the fall 2024 semester.  Both work-study and non-work-study students are welcome to apply.

Preferred Qualifications: Customer service experience, familiarity with libraries, interest in Fine Arts topics

We want to emphasize that although experience in certain areas is desirable, candidates who meet the required qualifications and demonstrate excellent promise are encouraged to apply and will be given serious consideration, especially those who are underrepresented in this field.

Working Conditions: Regular indoor working conditions.

Rate of Pay: $13.00
