Please Note: UT Libraries does not provide access to private spaces for remotely proctored exams and does not support or provide access to remote proctoring software on library computers.
Study Room Policies
- Group Study Rooms are for UT Austin students only.
- Group Study Rooms are for collaborative group study.
- Groups are 2 or more people.
- No individual bookings. Rooms cannot be reserved for test-taking, online classes or interviews.
- Rooms cannot be used for office hours or ongoing tutoring services.
- Students may reserve Group Study Rooms online in 1 hour blocks for up to 4 hours per EID per week during times PCL is open.
- An email confirmation is sent to yourEID@my.utexas.edu email address after booking a room. If you do not receive the confirmation email, you have not successfully booked the room. There is a link in the email to cancel your reservation and recover your unused time.
- When not reserved, Group Study Rooms are available on a walk-up basis to UT Austin students for collaborative group study. Walk up groups take precedence over individuals.
- If you are 15 minutes late, you forfeit your reservation.
- Please respect others in PCL by keeping the noise down, the door shut and cleaning up before you leave.
- Building Use policies apply in the Group Study Rooms.
Faculty/TAs/AIs
- Library group study rooms are NOT available for class meetings, review sessions or extended office hours.
- Faculty and non-student staff members can reserve rooms on campus for classes, exams and review sessions through the Office of the Registrar at 512-475-7600 or Email: scheduling@austin.utexas.edu.
