Hourly Student Employment - Fine Arts Library Student Associate (open to work-study and non-work-study)

Position Title: Fine Arts Library Student Associate

Department: Fine Arts Library

Supervisor: Audrey Griffin

Position is subject to renewal each semester.

Work Schedule: Flexible, M-F 8-6

Duties: Assist Fine Arts Circulation staff with daily, routine library operations. Duties may include assisting patrons; shelving; processing ILS requests and received materials; assisting with equipment, stacks maintenance, collection management, and special projects; maintaining statistics; supporting The Foundry.

Required Qualifications: UT Austin student enrolled in minimum of 6 credits for the spring 2024 semester.  Both work-study and non-work-study students are welcome to apply.

Preferred Qualifications: Customer service experience, familiarity with libraries, interest in Fine Arts topics

We want to emphasize that although experience in certain areas is desirable, candidates who meet the required qualifications and demonstrate excellent promise are encouraged to apply and will be given serious consideration, especially those who are underrepresented in this field.

Working Conditions: Regular indoor working conditions.

Rate of Pay: $11.00
