This in-person workshop will cover various digital methods for creative writing, highlighting both non-coding and code-based tools and methodologies for writers. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to seasoned coders!

In this workshop participants will learn about the Unix command line and how to use it for processing born digital media with ease. The Unix command line is a useful tool for automating repetitive tasks and it can be accessed through Linux and Mac operating systems, or through Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).

This virtual session will provide students, postdocs, and faculty an opportunity to learn more about the UT Libraries Map and Geospatial Collections Fellowship before the submission deadline on Monday, October 5, 2026.

Come by the PCL Lobby to get tailored assistance for your Zotero needs. Two Zotero-expert librarians will be on hand to assist on a first-come, first-served basis.

This workshop covers the fundamental workflow of identifying and accessing sources of geospatial data that can be used in research. Participants will learn strategies for finding and importing geospatial data, then explore techniques for analyzing and visualizing those data using GIS software.

Educational sessions on topics such as open access, APCs, copyright, AI trends, and scholarly communication.

This in-person workshop will introduce non-users to Zotero and help them set up their own account. Experienced users are also welcome to attend if they have any questions or issues regarding Zotero.
