Troubleshooting

I uploaded my file to the Print Cloud. Where is the print button?

After uploading your file to the Library Print Cloud, you're finished with all steps on your personal device. Your print job can now be printed at any UT printer.

When you're at the printers:

  1. Choose either a black and white or color printer, depending on your print settings (They will be labeled).
  2. Log on to the monitor screen (Release Station) above the printers.
  3. Sign in with your EID or swipe your card.
  4. Select your print job(s) from the list.
  5. Click the print button on the monitor.

The funds will be deducted from your account when you print.

The system charged me but my document didn't print.

Please speak with a staff member in the lobby or at the desk. We can't process refunds for Libraries Printing Funds, but we can help you reprint the document without additional charges. Staff will verify your payment and offer a courtesy print.

If the desk is closed, you can print the file yourself using another method:

  1. Log onto a library computer.
  2. Download and open the file.
  3. Click the print button, name the job in the pop-up box, and print.

If you prefer not to pay again, wait until the desk is open or lobby staff is available.

Other Tips

  • The printer may need to be overridden on the touch screen.
  • Download the file, email it to yourself, open it on a library computer, and print from there. Library computers have a more direct connection to the printers, which usually works more consistently.
My document was supposed to be color but it came out black and white.

First, double check your file settings within the Library Print Cloud, under "Print Preview". If they look correct, you could have printed from a black & white printer instead of a color printer. Unfortunately, we can't offer refunds for this mistake. To avoid this, check the signage on the printer to ensure it's a color printer. If your file setting were correct and you verified you did go to the correct printer, or you paid a significant amount, please check with the desk staff and politely ask for further assistance.

The printer cut off my text on the sides!

Oh no! Sometimes this problem can be fixed by printing from a library computer instead of your personal device. You should also make sure when printing the file, that 'Shrink to Fit' is enabled (This option is usually selected by default for PDF printing).

Note: This is a common issue with 'cheat sheets' or documents that contain a lot of information in a small space. When formatting your cheat sheet, remember that printers cannot print all the way to the edge of the paper. Be sure to leave at least a 0.25-inch margin of white space around the edges to ensure that all your content is printed properly.

There’s a paper jam, what do I do?

Please print from another printer and let the front desk know there is a jam.

I was charged for something that didn't print. Can I get a refund?

We do not offer refunds for ‘Libraries Printing Funds.’ For BevoPay refunds, contact Housing and Dining. If you still need the printouts, contact the front desk. Once they verify that you have already paid for a print, they can provide a print free of charge.
