Join us Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 11-1 pm, for a Scan Tech Studio Pop-up Workshop and Office Hours!
In this workshop, participants will learn techniques and best practices for digitizing and working with digitized materials from libraries and archives. After an initial one hour workshop, we will have librarians available for an additional hour of office hours for more in-depth consultation on attendees’ own questions or research projects. The workshop will cover:
- techniques for DIY digitization in a library or archive
- best practices for organizing your digital files
- how to perform optical character recognition (OCR) to extract text from your images
- methodologies and sample code for performing text analysis
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own questions and projects to discuss during the office hours!
