Immersive Python Workshop Optional Pre-Workshop

UT Libraries and UT Open Source Program Office will host an Immersive Python Workshop on August 13-14, 2025, in Perry-Castañeda Library (PCL)! For information about the two-day Immersive Python Workshop, click here.

Attendees can also attend an optional Immersive Python Workshop pre-workshop introductory session designed to cover foundational Python concepts. This is recommended for participants who are new to Python or have limited experience with programming and would like an introduction to important terminology and help with software installation steps. 

Immersive Python Pre-Workshop | Tuesday, August 12 | 1-3 pm
✔️ Basic data types in Python
✔️ Creating variables and changing variables
✔️ How to use a function
✔️ How to get help while learning to program
   
Registration for ALL Immersive Python Workshop sessions opens at noon on Wednesday, July 23. Space is limited, so be sure to mark your calendar and register early—last year’s workshop filled up in just one hour!
