Copyright, Academic Integrity and GenAI in the Classroom

Join us Tuesday, November 19, from 12-1 pm for Copyright, Academic Integrity and GenAI in the Classroom!

Faculty and instructors are invited to a virtual discussion of how copyright, academic integrity and generative AI intersect in the classroom. We’ll begin with a brief presentation about recommendations for citing and disclosing the use of generative AI, and the current status of court cases related to copyright and AI. The majority of the time will be devoted to a discussion about how these issues are coming up in your classrooms, and what approaches we can use in this fast moving and unsettled area.

Presenters:
Colleen Lyon, Head of Scholarly Communications, UT Libraries
Michele Ostrow, Assistant Director of Teaching & Learning Services, UT Libraries
