The Texas Architecture Survey (TAS) was commissioned by the Amon Carter Museum of Western Art (Fort Worth, Texas) and the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture. Conducted from 1963-1966, the survey produced a partial visual inventory of Texas homes and public buildings built in the nineteenth century. The survey resulted in two books published by the Amon Carter Museum and University of Texas Press, Texas Homes of the Nineteenth Century (1966) by Blake Alexander and Texas Public Buildings of the Nineteenth Century (1974) by Willard Robinson. Photographer Todd Webb was commissioned by the Texas Architecture Survey to document the survey. Webb's work was reproduced in the two publications and was also exhibited at the Amon Carter Museum in 1966 and 1975. Records consist of photographs, slides, negatives, photographic shot logs, administrative records, field reports, correspondence, building descriptions and indices related the survey.
