Howard Meyer (1903-1988) was one of the pioneers of modern architecture who combined modern technology with traditional forms and materials in designing commercial, residential, governmental, religious and educational buildings. Born in New York City, Meyer graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor of architecture in 1928. He established a firm in Dallas in 1935, where he continued to work until his death. The collection includes personal papers, office files, job files, specifications, printed and visual materials and drawings documenting Meyer's architectural design career and civic affiliations.
