Winedale Institute in Historic Preservation collection

The Winedale Institute in Historic Preservation collection consists of records from the Winedale Institute in Historic Preservation, a program operated by The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture located at the Winedale Historical Center in Fayette County, Texas. The collection also includes some administrative material from the Winedale Historic Site, an outdoor museum and study center dedicated to Texas history.

Fooshee & Cheek records

Dallas architects Marion Fooshee (1888-1956) and James Cheek (1895-1970) were known for their residential work that reflected extensive study of vernacular architecture in Spain, Mexico and southern California. Foshee and Cheek designed Highland Park Village in 1931, a complex of buildings that became the first self-contained shopping center in the country. Correspondence, shop drawings, specifications, promotional brochures and drawings document Fooshee and Cheek's work at Highland Park Village in Dallas, Texas (1930-1955).

Fehr and Granger collection

Fehr and Granger was an award-winning architectural firm founded by University of Texas at Austin graduates Arthur Fehr (1904-1969) and Charles Granger (1913-1966) in 1946. Photographs, drawings, and papers document travel and the design and construction process of the firm's architectural projects. 

Jim Scoggins collection

Jimmy James Harvey Scoggins was a Texas architect who practiced in the North Texas region as well as California. The collection includes architectural drawings, photographs, specifications, brochures, and clippings that document the architectural practice of Jim Scoggins.

UT School of Architecture Archives: Center for American Architecture and Design records

The Center for American Architecture and Design (CAAD), as part of The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, encourages knowledge of the built environment by exploring distinct themes in architecture through exhibitions, symposia and publications. The Center for American Architecture and Design records document the creation and operation of CAAD, including the Center’s events and publications. Record types include, office files, correspondence pertaining to publications and events, drafts of Center journal articles, photographs, and slides. Further accruals are expected.

UT School of Architecture Archives: Texas Architecture archive

The Texas Architecture archive is a collection of documentary research materials on historic Texas buildings produced by students and initially assembled in 1960 by Professor Drury Blakeley Alexander at The University of Texas School of Architecture. While material in the Texas Architecture archive focuses on buildings across Texas, the strength of the collection is in the Central Texas region. Record types in this collection include measured drawings, reports, photographs, oral history interviews, and audiovisual materials.

UT School of Architecture Archives: Visual Resources Collection records

The University of Texas School of Architecture Visual Resources Collection (VRC) records documents the work of the Visual Resources Collection, an analog and digital image collection operated by the School of Architecture. The primary function of the VRC was to provide a sustainable and searchable collection of visual images to support classroom teaching with an emphasis on the School of Architecture's curriculum.
