Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday; 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM 
  • 10-12 hours per week 
  • Schedule as arranged with supervisor 

Duties:

  • Reformatting print materials using a range of equipment and scanners. 
  • Performing image quality control checks.
  • Ensuring optical character recognition (OCR) quality.
  • Metadata management
  • Detailed task tracking

For Fall 2026, the majority of work will focus on digitizingbound print materials and performing optical character recognition quality control. Opportunities to reformat audiovisual materials may also arise occasionally.

All stages of work require extreme attention to detail and the ability to remain focused while performing very repetitive tasks. Training in all steps of the digitization process is provided, and will increase in complexity as the Assistant’s skills grow over time.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Work independently and demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Have extreme attention to detail and care in handling fragile materials and equipment.
  • Have strong organizational skills.
  • Manage time and communicate effectively.
  • Be willing to learn and work with a range of computer and scanning hardware environments and software applications. 
  • Remain focused while performing repetitive tasks.

Working Conditions: Regular indoor working conditions.

Rate of Pay: $15.00
