The Texas Architecture Survey was commissioned by the Amon Carter Museum of Western Art (Fort Worth, Texas) and The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture. Conducted from 1963-1966, the survey produced a partial visual inventory of Texas homes and public buildings built in the nineteenth century. The survey resulted in two books published by the Amon Carter Museum and University of Texas Press: Texas Homes of the Nineteenth Century (1966) by Blake Alexander and Texas Public Buildings of the Nineteenth Century (1974) by Willard Robinson. Record types include photographs, administrative records, field reports, correspondence, summary reports, building descriptions and indices related to the Texas Architecture Survey.
