Kenya National Commission on Human Rights: Enhancing the Realisation of Your Rights
In English. The KNCHR is an Independent National Institution established by an Act of Parliament to lead in protecting and promoting human rights in Kenya. The Commission focuses on investigating complaints, providing redress, campaigns and advocacy, research,policy and legislation, economic,social and cultural rights, education and capacity building and institutional strengthening. Director was investigated by the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission, possibly related to the organization investigations of government corruption. Laogai Research Foundation [China]
In English. In 1992, the Laogai Research Foundation was established to gather information and spread public awareness on the Chinese Laogai (work camps). The Foundation publishes an annual Laogai Handbook, newsletters, special investigative reports, as well as assisting television media in preparing documentary films on the Laogai. Since its inception, the LRF has expanded its focus to document and report on other systemic human rights violations in China, including public executions, organ harvesting from executed prisoners, the coercive enforcement of China's population control policy, and persecution of religious believers. The MST has been peacefully occupying unused land since 1985 and distributing it among landless peasants for them to work it, develop education projects etc. MST members have been criminalized, prosecuted and investigated illegally by the Judiciary and military police of the Rio Grande do Sul State. The Prosecutor has declared the movement illegal and their members have been incarcerated and investigated.
