College of Fine Arts a Big Winner
Last year the Regents approved a new award for outstanding undergraduate teaching at the nine academic institutions of the University of Texas. $1 million has been allocated to these awards at The University of Texas at Austin over five years. The winners of the first year’s competition were announced at the August meeting of the Board of Regents. Teachers in the College of Fine Arts won four of the thirty-five awards given this year!
We are celebrating this success by showing some of the research work that informs the highly-regarded teaching of these professors.
The College of Fine Arts winners are:

Of the nineteen awards given across the University to tenured professors, the College of Fine Arts secured three; and of the nine awards given to tenure-track professors, the College secured one. Given the relatively small size of the College in comparison with others on campus this is a remarkable achievement.
