Access to archive resources is free of charge. Most of the resources in the AILLA database are available to the public, but some have special access restrictions.

  • The Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies, Inc. (FAMSI) was created in 1993 to foster increased understanding of ancient Mesoamerican cultures. The Foundation supports projects in the areas of anthropology, archaeology, art history, epigraphy, ethnography, ethnohistory, linguistics, and related fields. Their website provides access to the Barbara & Justin Kerr Photographic Collection, the Linda & David Schele Image Collection, the John Montgomery Drawing Collection, and the Bibliografía Mesoamericana as well as information about FAMSI's grants program.

  • The Latin American Periodicals Tables of Contents (LAPTOC) Contains contents pages of over 400 journal titles from Argentina, Mexico and Brazil, only 10% of which are indexed in HAPI. Currently contains 56,400 articles from 3,550 journal issues.

  • The Political Database of the Americas is one of the best online sites for finding current political information on the Americas. It contains constitutions, electoral laws, calendars, and statistics as well as links to embassy sites and up-to-date lists of cabinet members.

  • The "Latbook" -- Base de datos de libros y revistas argentinas de la Librería García Latbook's serials contents database (NOTE: click on link on Latbook homepage) is similar to that of ARL (see above) but focuses on Argentine titles, many of which are not readily available elsewhere. Contains a total of 30,000 articles from 300 Argentine magazines and is updated on a weekly basis.
