AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas Libraries is currently administering a customer service satisfaction survey to solicit input from students and faculty at The University of Texas at Austin.
6000 people – 4800 current undergraduate and graduate students and 1200 faculty – were randomly chosen to take part in the LibQUAL+ web survey. Those selected received an email invitation this week requesting their participation and providing a link to a short survey that takes about five minutes to complete.
Aggregate data from the survey helps the Libraries in making strategic decisions about resources, collections, facilities and patron service.
The Libraries began administering the LibQUAL+ survey on an annual basis from 2001-2006, but has since moved to a biennial schedule.
As an added incentive for participation, those who complete the survey may choose to register for a chance to win either a new iPad (Wi-Fi, 16GB) or one of two Kindle Fires.
The survey runs through April 13, 2012.
